The Bundestag apparently wants to open up to language poetry – and create a new position for it: a parliamentary poet!
︎ The authors Simone Buchholz, Mithu Sanyal and Dmitrij Kapitelman suggested the appointment of a parliamentary poet – and apparently convinced Bundestag Vice President Katrin Göring-Eckardt (55, Greens).
On Twitter, Göring-Eckardt shared a photo of the meeting with the initiators, writing that she was “enthusiastic” about the proposal. “Opening a discursive space between parliament and living language with poetry,” says the Green politician.
